I recently had the pleasure of working on A Hero’s Journey, a creative project delivered by RiseUP at The Element, Wirral.
RiseUp’s work – teaching mindset skills through creative arts in schools, prisons, and communities – creates powerful opportunities for young people to explore their potential in a supportive and expressive environment.
As part of the project, I produced social media films capturing key moments and energy from the sessions, delivered a workshop exploring interactive music, and created an immersive, near-360° film that was showcased at the final celebration event.
A core part of my practice is capturing the essence of a project through film – going beyond documentation to create something that reflects the feeling of being there. Working with the brilliant team at Focal Studios made this possible on a whole new level. Together, we created an immersive film experience, allowing the audience at the celebration event to step inside the project and experience it in a dynamic and engaging way.
It was a rewarding project to be part of – one that highlighted the impact of creativity, connection, and giving young people the space to be seen and heard.
